Spicy Citrus Hummus

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (540 mL / 15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 3 tbsp tahini
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
  • 1–2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tsp of Blackberry Lemon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2–4 tbsp ice cold water

Instructions:

  1. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, salt, and hot sauce.
Blend until the mixture looks thick and slightly grainy.
  2. Slowly drizzle in the ice cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time, blending until smooth and creamy.
  3. Taste and tweak to your liking — more lemon for brightness, more hot sauce for heat, or more tahini for richness.
  4. Serve in a bowl, drizzle extra hot sauce for a pretty finish and extra spice!
